Take Care
A documentary performance of two borderless clowns
Created by Hadar Sharir and A.S
Co-director: Ari Teperberg
Scenography: Yael Sady
A documentary performance between two friends, two clowns, as close and as far away as possible. He is in Gaza, she is in Israel. He is in a hospital, she is on stage. A meeting under fire, between two people who have found themselves on opposite sides and insist on maintaining humanity, concern and that red nose that connects them. The show is based on real conversations and documentary materials and will take place mostly within mobile phones – the only form of communication available to the two artists on both sides.
Take Care is a small piece of reality that seeks, despite everything, to find the common ground, and allow clowning to do what it knows best – to puncture the balloons of pathos, to expose the absurdity that surrounds us all, to laugh and cry at the same time.
