Orgon lives a good life. He's a man of wealth and status and has a loving family. Yet, he feels his soul needs spiritual assistance to endow his life with meaning. He calls in Monsieur Tartuffe, a man imbued with faith and principles, whom Orgon views as a semi-God. With Tartuffe's arrival, the family gets into complete turmoil, and no one can open Orgon's eyes to the fact that the guest might be an impostor.
